What do you expect if olive oil is added into the soap formulation (coconut oil+olive oil)?

The additional olive oil would make the soap softer, with less lather. With less lather, the soap would not dry the skin as much.

Coconut oil is a saturated fat that makes a hard soap with lots of lather.

Olive oil is an unsaturated fat that makes a soft soap with little lather.

The more lather, the drier the soap makes the skin.

any type of oil will still make the soap soap. soap works by hooking onto the non-polar grease and such on plates and bonds with it to make a molecule with a polar end and non-polar end. the substance then can bond with water and co down the drain. as long as the oil is somewhat fat based, the soap should still do what it is supposed to do. there may a difference to the degree of effectiveness, but it should still be soap if made correctly.
