Olive Oil Gaining Weight?

hi, i want to gain some weight and I've found out that olive oil is very high in calories. I was wondering if olive oil should only be used when cooking foods or weather it can be taken on its own i.e drinking it.Olive Oil Gaining Weight?
Aside from having 120 calories per tablespoon, olive oil is very good for you. It has 14 grams of ft per tbspn and only 2 grams of saturated fat, 0 cholesterol, 0 sodium, 0 carbs.





So go for it, it's good for your heart too. Better to add olive oil as your ';fat'; to all your cooking than butter/margarine or any other type of oil.





Use it on salads, in soups, to flavour plain rice, potatos, pasta, chicken, marinades, etc., and ONLY use EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil which comes from the first pressing and has the most nutrients.Olive Oil Gaining Weight?
I guess I should have said no to the drinking it! LOL Besides why drink it when you can just add a little extra to food. Drinking it will give you the runs as will any oil. Not really recommended. Report Abuse

What you want to gain is muscle mass, and not fat. Thats what olive oil will do, besides it will cause damage to your heart. it might be healthy but as long as you have it with a salad or in your food do not drink it. Try exercising and eating alot of protein not just binging of saturated fat.
it can be taken with salads as dressing combined with balsamic vinegar...or had this way with bread....i do not recommend drinking it....coz too much of oil is not good for you,to build ur muscle mass do weights and have high protein diet...much safer than drinking oil!
Olive oil is the exact same calories as all fats,


Whether it be olive, corn, peanut oil, or even butter.


Olive oil is the recommended fat because it is high in Omega 3s and won't cause artery clogging.


There are 2 types of weight - muscle and fat .


Do you care ? Are you just trying to put anything on or are you looking for muscle ?


For muscle eat lots of grilled meats , veggies, fruits and grains AND get very active, soccer or volleyball or swimming or weights at the gym. Get your body active and put in lots of nutrition.


You just want fat ? Park at McDonalds %26amp; eat all day.
Ya you can drink it if you want to **** your pants........
