Vegetable oil versus Olive oil?

For cooking is olive oil better than corn or vegetable oil?Vegetable oil versus Olive oil?
Olive oil is good for you, but it has a low smoke point so it's not very good for frying, and it has a strong flavor so you may not want to use it in some recipes. Canola oil has a less strong flavor, higher smoke point and, like olive oil, is high in monounsaturated fat, so is also very healthy too. Use it where olive oil doesn't meet your needs.

Corn oil is low in monounsaturated fats, so not as healthy for you. Vegetable oil is usually a combination - check the label for fat makeup.Vegetable oil versus Olive oil?
it depends on what you are doing.

If you are sauteing or sweating items, or even just cooking with very little oil in a skillet, then olive oil is my preference. it has a light flavor that doesn't get in the way of the other flavors when cooking meats or veg.

If you are frying things like potatoes for hash browns or fries/chips, or baking corn bread, then vegetable or corn oil will be a better choice since it has a higher temperature threshold and is much less expensive than olive oil. plus it seems to work better with bread/breaded items.

Typically I prefer corn oil over standard vegetable oil because it has a lighter flavor, but it is really a matter of preference.
If you're baking or frying something, use the vegetable oil, but otherwise, use olive oil, preferrably extra virgin olive oil, it's so much more healthier for you, and it's got more flavor.
I've always heard that olive oil is healthier, and I have never noticed a difference in flavor. Olive oil seems to be more expensive, though, so I usually use vegetable oil in my baking.
The health benefits of olive oil are lost when heated to high temp such as for frying. Peanut oil or coconut oil are better alternatives for high heat cooking but olive oil is great for salad dressings and marinades
Olive oil has more flavor and is a good fat. Vegtable oil is very bland and fattening. I only use vegtable oil for frying and baking. Other than that olive oil for everything else.
I think it comes out to preference. As long as they are not hydrogolized, which makes them heart unfriendly. Olives are still vegetables.
Versus egine oil versus bottom oil versus baby oil.
I don't buy corn oil any more. I find that Canola oil is wonderful and cheaper than Olive oil, or EVOO {Extra Virgin Olive Oil}.
olive oil brings more flavor, especially extra virgin olive oil.
Olive oil for better health though it cost more than vegetable and corn oil.
It is better for you health wise but as for deep frying you need to use vegetable oil.
Principel is olive so now only that.
more flavor: vegie

healthier: olive

never heard of corn.
I keep both handy, veg oil is better for frying
olive oil is the healthiest.
