Olive oil on hair?

does this make your hair grow, or does it just add shine? I really would like my hair to grow faster then a half an inch a month. If it does make your hair grow, how exactly would you apply it?

this comes from personally experience.. olive oil works wonders... try mixing a little bit of castor oil in it if u can.. it will work without it too.. warm it a bit.. not too much.. and just apply it all over ur scalp and till ur hair tip.. before rinsing.. just wrap a warm towel (dip it warm water and squeeze out the water) and keep it for sometime.. this gives the steam to the hair.. then rinse it.. ur hair becomes really smooth and shiny. it does help in the growth as well.. but for growth ur diet is wat is the most important thing though...Olive oil on hair?

olive oil will not make your hair grow faster,unfortunately nothing will.some people condition their hair with olive oil.

okay, it would make your hair softer. but heres the thing: DONT EVER PUT A LOT. and dont put it in one direct spot. youu will get BAD DANDRUFF. :) bad bad experience.


if you want your hair shinier and softer, use the kind of conditioner for those types of things (sorry forgot the name i think it was sunsilk) and then leave a teensy bit in when you get out of the shower, make sure that its around the tips though, not the scalp

Nothing has ever be proven to make hair grow faster, the person that discovers that remedy will be VERY rich indeed! An Olive oil treatment is a great way to add shine to you hair though!

Olive oil is pretty much just for moisture/shine.
mane and tail shampoo are good for stretching your hair to it's full potential and olive oil makes it shine only.
Seriously prenatal vitamins make your hair grow fast. Olive oil is good for shine and making hair more manageable.





P.S. Or just vitamins period just seem like prenatals work faster. Oh yeah keep your ends clipped and a lot of heat off your head
yeah it really does a nice job of making it shiny but i heard if u put the olive oil in and massage ur scalp it could like wake up ur follicles and make ur hair grow faster
I dont think it makes it grow but it does make it feel really nice and look nice too
