i heard mixing extra virgin olive oil with conditioner reduses frizz but can i use regular olive oil?Is olive oil the same as extra virgin olive oil?
I think it would be okay to use. The only way it redces frizz is when your put it on your hair it makes the hairs lay down. Unless you have very very thick use only a tiny amount so it won't look greasy. Oh, and oil cannot damage your hair. The person who said that must have been doing any number of other things to cause damage. Actually the opposite. Alot of people use oil in their hair to protect it. go to http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/inde鈥?/a> and do a search on using oils. They almost al use them and they have goregous hair.Is olive oil the same as extra virgin olive oil?
i dont know if it reduces frizz or what not, but i think e.v.o.o. has just been aged more than regular o.o. i dont think theres much of a difference if ur putting it in ur hair..just the taste :) hope this helps
vigins are better!
Extra Virgin Olive oil(EVOO) is a different grade od olive oil. EVOO has a natural level of low acidity of 1% acid. So in conclusion olive oil has many different grades of that one oil.
extra virgin has less chemicals but they are interchangable
Honestly, i dont think oil is very good, no matter what kind you use. It doesnt reduce you'r hair frizz all it does is makes your hair greasy , and it can damage your hair. I would know i have done it plenty of times to know by now what it does. So, if you were to use oil (which i dont think you should) i would say it doenst matter what oil you use all oil does the same thing.
Yes you can. The only difference is the way the oil is removed from the olive. They both (olive and xtra olive oil) come from the same place.
I think you should be able to use regular olive oil; the only difference between the two is that in extra virgin olive oil, they only squeeze the olive once, and in normal olive oil, they squeeze the olive as many times as it takes to get all of the oil out. Not very scientific. Anyway you should be fine using normal olive oil, but make sure to wash it all out otherwise your hair will be greasy. Hope this helps!
ya, xtra virgin is just a better, more refined type
