Don't bother with the mayo, its full of ingredients that aren't really very helpful. The best is plain, extra virgin olive oil.
You can wash your hair first, then massage the oil into towel-dried hair and leave it for a few hours, then wash it out.
Or you can just massage the oil into your dry hair - as long as you don't have a lot of styling products in your hair, they will get in the way of the oil penetrating the hair.If you use a homemade deep conditoner 4 color treated hair ex.mayo/olive oil should u wash hair 1st?
no, after, or wash it both b4 and after. If you use a homemade deep conditoner 4 color treated hair ex.mayo/olive oil should u wash hair 1st?
Homemade hair conditioners really don't do anything more than a regular conditioner that you would normally put on your hair. Since you are putting pure grease/oil on your head, you will have to wash it out afterwards with shampoo. Besides that, you will walk around smelling like mayo, and who wants to do that? Just stick with something actually made for your hair. There are lots of nice deep conditioners that smell much better and will not weigh your hair down like this ';homemade'; stuff!
conditioning means - recondition ur hair back after washing with shampoo etc. So u can wash if u want.

Just saw this on Rachael Ray last week!! Yes, mayo is a good conditioner. You do not wash your hair before tho. Make sure you do a double shampoo to get out all the mayo. You only have to leave it on about 10 min. IF you want your hair really shinny %26amp; clean looking, try rinsing it in white vinegar!!! No, you won't smell like a pickel..haha You w/have a beautiful sheen to your hair %26amp; it brings our highlites you didn't know you had.... It also is a super remedy to use to get rid of a bad case of dandruff!! Use it as a shampoo AND conditioner.
