My family is from to south and ever since I can remember my mom has used this mixture on everyones hair its mayo (you can et the cheap kind) about 2 cups, 2-3 eggs and about a 1-11/2 cup of olive oil mix it all together well part your hair in four sections and put the stuff in your hair make sure you rub it on your scalp put your hair up in a ponytail then put a plastic bag or a shower cap on and leave it in for as long as you can I usually sleep in it and then rinse it out for at least 10 min and then use some conditioner that smells good leave that in for about 10 min then rinse with cold water
I know this seems like alot but it really works I always do it it makes my hair longer, stronger, shinier and healthier
I always color my hair and my hair has never been damaged
Good LuckMy hair is getting dull.I'm using lemon juice with olive oil because of dandruff. But there is no result.?
leave the acidic lemon juice out of ur hair...My hair is getting dull.I'm using lemon juice with olive oil because of dandruff. But there is no result.?
Don't use that anymore!
Lemon is very hard on your hair.
If trying to lighten it use a frosting or highlight kit or sun in.
for dandruff use good old head and shoulders or a Medicated
shampoo!
Another trick I learned from my hair dresser is
to leave in your conditioner overnight and just rinse your hair
the next day or to leave your conditioner in for 30 minutes
with a hot towel wrapped on your head.
I have very long hair and do this often!
I am a licensed cosmetologist. It sounds as if you may have chlorine build-up on your hair. Get a shampoo SPECIFICALLY to remove chlorine.(not just to remove product build-up) Use this shampoo twice a week to begin with for two weeks, then switch to using it whenever you notice your hair becoming dull and lifeless. CAUTION!!! use this shampoo sparingly as it WILL strip almost everything out of your hair.... Good ones to try are Paul Mitchell shampoo #3 and Redken hair cleansing cream......Good luck, and God Bless
to much lemon is not gud for ur hair at all, stop it right now,use sum gud anti dandruff shampoo or better still see a dermatologist.
your scalp is dehydrated.....first start off by drinking water!!!!...then, find a good moisturizing conditioner....like, nexuss humectress.....or if your hair is more coarse......try motions moisture plus......and apply it directly to your scalp....part your hair and just apply it......put a plastic cap on......or wrap your head in saran wrap....and sit under a warm dryer for at least like 15 to 20 minutes.....if u don't have a dryer...just leave it on.....and go sit outside...or do some housework......then just rinse out really well.....it might take a couple of tries.....but it will really work!!!
Go to www.Nexxus.com they have a shampoo called Pep R Mint which works rather well, then get the Leave in Moisturizer called Luxxtress.
its better to use yoghurt(i.e. curd) with 2-3 drops of lemon juice. It will give shine to your dull hair and will clear off dandruff. It works wonder
omg don't put lemon juice in your hair and olive only will only coat it..........lemon juice is going to strip the oil out of the hair your hair ......got to a salon and buy a good dandruff shampoo ....and don't listen to people telling you to add junk to your hair....a salon will help you call one and talk to them...good luck...BTW the way your hair is coated with that olive oil........and that's why its dull ....you can buy the cheaper shampoo that is a clarity shampoo suave makes one.......and wash your hair good it will get rid of that build up of olive oil........tell the salon what you have put on your hair and how long you have been doing that ....you need to get the residue build up...off your hair
try mayonnaise
If you have tried medicated dandruff shampoos and they don't work you may have a fungus instead.
Try an anti-fungal shampoo like Nizoral AD.
Why don't you try dandruff shampoo, it is specifically formulate for your scalp and hair. I don't think olive or lemon trees care about your scalp.
you can either try use liquid dish soap every 3 months or rinsing your hair out with cold water
One of my friends had good luck mixing hydrogen peroxide with a leave-in conditioner. Spritzed it on, waited a bit, and rinsed it out.
Head and Shoulders Refresh is a great option for those with dandruff. Lemon juice is acidic and will have an adverse effects on your hair, unless you want it to be bleached when you are in the sun (think brittleness due to sun damage).
